HF WALKERS WALKING STICKS AND CANES

These new handcrafted walking sticks and canes come from upstate New York and are crafted here at my home. These sticks are made of beautiful rich Hickory, Aspen, Ash and Maple which have been artfully sanded and finished with several coats of polyurethane to protect them from the elements. No stain has been used with the exception of the blue and bright pink sticks. All colors of the sticks were created by Mother Nature. These Sticks are approximately 58 inches tall with the top diameter of approximately 1 1/4 inches tapered down to approximately 3/4 inches on the bottom of the stick. All sticks come with a genuine leather strap and a rubber tip that can be removed for shortening of the stick. We can custom cut any stick or cane to your desired length at the time of your order for no charge. Sticks can be personalized for that special gift by hand woodburning a name or initials. HF WALKERS WALKING STICKS

Hi, my name is Eric Hickey, I am the owner of HF Walkers Walking Sticks. The HF stands for Hickey Family.

This business started out about six years ago as a family venture with the wife and I getting out and
enjoying mother nature, spending time outdoors with our two youngest kids cutting and collecting sticks
as a new adventure. We have sold stick locally in upstate New York and are excited to offer our sticks
forsale on the Internet.

We live in upstate New York and are nestled in the Finger Lakes area which is a spectacular area surrounded
by Maple, Oak, Hickory and Aspens.

I have always had a love for wood. It started when I took woodshop in high school. When I got out I worked as a professional refinisher for six years as an apprentice. Since then I have been self-employed as a professional furniture refinisher for over 20 years. I recently consulted in a furniture factory with young people teaching them how to spray furniture. Now I am devoting my time to my own business which is refinishing furniture and my greatest joy, walking sticks.

Many people have asked me what makes your sticks different from others. I would have to say the finish as it is professionally done. I try to always bring out the beauty in the wood.
